ABOUT THE BOOK

From First Investment to Financial Freedom

This book is divided into three parts, taking readers step by step from understanding the Malaysian stock market to making their first investment and, ultimately, building long-term wealth.

Part 1 – Opening the Door to Financial Freedom lays the foundation. Readers will learn how the Malaysian stock market works, including its structure, securities, market indices, regulations, regulatory bodies, and corporate actions. The aim is simple: to build the knowledge and confidence needed to navigate the market.

Part 2 – Taking Action: Your Investment Journey Begins moves from knowledge to action. It covers the practical aspects of investing, including opening a trading account, buying and selling shares, transaction costs, IPOs, and corporate exercises. By the end of this section, readers will be better prepared to take their first steps into the stock market.

Part 3 – Mastering the Path to Financial Freedom focuses on what matters most for long-term success: the right mindset, knowledge, discipline, and patience. Readers will learn how to find and interpret investment information, evaluate and analyse stocks, manage risks, and build a portfolio that can generate growing passive income and long-term wealth.

Ultimately, this book is not simply about learning how to buy stocks. It is about using investing as a tool to build financial freedom: where passive income can cover living expenses and working becomes a choice rather than a necessity.
